The newspapers are reporting that a 'subtle' makeover was evident in Susan Boyle's recent Irish concerts.The Belfast Telegraph said in hushed tones "Gone was the out-of-control hair to be replaced by a soft, feathered cut that framed her face and knocked a few years of her age.
"The make-up was natural and light, shimmery silver eyes to match her gown and those heavy brows plucked to reveal a fresher looking face. Without giving in too much to superficial demands, Susan has proved that a few tiny tweaks can make all the difference."

I remember many, many years ago in the film "Alfie", Michael Caine referred to a girlfriend as being very "mumsy" and to me that sums up the subtle changes in Susan's appearance. They have done just enough to stop some of those spiteful comments but haven't gone too far into "glamour-puss" territory which I am sure she would not like or want. I too think she looks lovely.
