They really missed the boat on this one.

I love Susan's new CD I play it over and over. Her voice is beautiful. I admit it isn't a young person's CD but there must be a lot of "old folks" out there.

I PRE-ORDERED MY CDS BUT THE DAY OF THE RELEASE I WENT TO WALMART TO BUY ONE FOR A GIFT AND ON THE NEW REALEASES RACK THERE WERE THREE SLOTS EMPTY AND THE REST WAS FULL OF CDS.I ASKED THE CLERK WHERE IS SUSAN BOYLE'S CD IT IS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT TODAY. THE MAN CAME RIGHT TO THE FRONT LOOKED AT THE THREE EMPTY RACKS AND SAID WOW THEY ALL WENT ALREADY AND CONTINUE TO SAY I NEED TO PUT MORE IN THE FRONT HE HANDED ME MINE AND CONTINUE TO LOAD THE RACKS AGAIN. I SMILED SO BIG. I AM SO HAPPY FOR SUSAN THAT GREAT VOICE AND SWEET PERSONALITY DESERVES IT PLUS ALL HER WORK SHE'S PUT INTO IT AMIDST A SEA OF BAD PRESS AND MADE OUT UNTRUE STORIES ABOUT HER. YOU GO SUSAN YOU BEAT THEM ALL. LOVE NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY USA

I had a similar experience in the UK. I went into HMV a few weeks before the Album was released, to ask if they would have it in stock on the day of release, the guy checked on the computer screen "No it appears that we haven't ordered any yet" he said.

I said "Well you'd better get a lot in, because there will be a HUGE demand for it!" All I got back was, "We can order it for you, but nothing sells big on imediate release these days".

"This one will" I said................

follow up.

Today I asked the manager in the music department point blank.
I said, Remember me? I was the guy that asked you about the Susan Boyle CDs? I see you still don't have any in stock.. Whats up with that?
His Response, 'They went *poof* just like that.'
He told me a distributor brings in all of the new releases, and they had sold out the very first day.
And then..
He began to tell me all about the story of Susan Boyle.
He said, 'You know, I saw her when she first came out on the internet! She was the lady that when she came out, all of the judges rolled their eyes and snickered. When she began to sing, everyone's chins dropped to the floor. Her voice did something to me. It made me cry...'
I just smiled and quietly nodded my head.
He had the same sparkle in his eye that I've seen so many times.

I just smiled and listened.

I was in Target today and I have been thinking of others to buy the CD for as a Christmas gift, but they had none. They didn't even set her up to be included. Her name wasn't indicated anywhere. I asked someone working there but she said she knew nothing about it. She offered to page her manager to ask but I declined due to my schedule.

I hope the other stores will do better than these two!!
