Re: Will Susan Boyle ever 'be as big as Elaine Paige'?
Elaine Paige is in fact well known in the UK and Europe and is a super star. Susan is on a different path to Elaine, although she released albums in her earlier days, she is more focussed on musicals, whereas Susan is a singer. Considering the way her first album has gone she is well on the way to being as successful as Elaine.

Both ladies are greatly talented, and deserve a lot of respect for their accomplishments. Susan's accomplishments are very recent and fresh and no less remarkable than Elaine's stellar career. I am so grateful we had You Tube to learn of her gifts.
I appreciate how well Elaine responded to Susan so graciously when others were not at all as kind.
They're both great. Susan is my fave of course.

I also 'join the club' of those who never heard of Elaine Paige until recently.
Her achievements, however, are very impressive and she seems to be a very nice lady (saw her for the first time with Susan)as well as being an extremely talented singer.
Comparing her record to Susan really can't be done by the mere fact that Susan was only discovered this year at age 48, whereas Elaine has already been in the business for 45 years. Also, in the days when Elaine started her career, there wasn't the worldwide telecommunications factor.
Am delighted Susan has 'hit the top'. She more than deserves it and her voice is magnificent.

Has Paige ever gotten millions of you tube hits? Paige may indeed be big, but I never heard of her until Boyle mentioned her. Nor do I know of anyone who had heard of her prior to Boyle mentioning her. On the other hand, I
don't know anyone who doesn't know of Susan Boyle. All a matter of perspective I suppose.
Re: Will Susan Boyle ever 'be as big as Elaine Paige'?
Same here.
Exactly my point.
I have never heard of Elaine Paige before.
I bet that's the same case all over the world.
If anything, Elaine Paige owes Susan Boyle a BIG thank you gift.
To Elaine Paige, Susan Boyle is like a messiah - because Susan Boyle gave Elaine a big publicity.

I think Susan and Eliane are different, both great in their own way. I don't think you can compare them.
