Susan Boyle has the #1 album in the country, with Adam Lambert at #3. The debut albums for Lambert and Boyle sold well in their first week on the Billboard charts, but it was clear that Susan Boyle is much more popular than Adam Lambert right now.
In fact, Susan Boyle out-sold Adam Lambert by a pace of almost 4-to-1 during the first week that both had their albums on store shelves. Susan Boyle saw sales of her album hit 701,000 units moved, making it the hottest debut on the Billboard 200 in over a year. The last album to reach those numbers in its first week was AC/DC's Black Ice which sold 784,000 copies in 2008.
