Chairman of the BRITS committee Ged Doherty says he thinks it's a shame that Britain's Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle did not get a single nomination for her debut, I Dreamed A Dream, the biggest-selling album of 2009.
"I think it’s amazing that they didn’t [vote for her more]," he told 6 Music. "She has been an incredible advert for music this year.
"Her version of Wild Horses, the Rolling Stones classic, was one of the best pieces of music that’s come out of this country in a long time, but she didn’t get nominated."
Doherty gave us his take on why the reality star was not favoured by the 1000-strong panel of people.

Re: BRIT noms omit SuBo
The above posts have it exactly RIGHT. The so-called music business today is all about image and hype and all the other marketing techniques of a cynical world. Who cares what the self-appointed critics have to say? Most of them are firmly in someone's vest pocket. When someone with REAL TALENT comes along these days, and they come along very rarely, the hucksters and the hypesters and all the rest of that sad lot, don't know what to do with them. Susan Boyle brought light to a dark and dreary time. How many people in this jaded age have done that. She is simply great and her fans recognize this. She has real talent. She is real. There are so few such people left in any of the arts in our soulless time.

Right on! That is exactly the way I feel too! The other so called performers are so tiresome! They seem to try to outdo each other by being 'sexy' while singing! What has one to do with the other - except to try to make up for their lack of singing ability!
I could listen to Susan forever and never tire of her superb voice!
I think the Brits who chose are a bunch of snobs and can't give credit where credit is due. They were proven wrong from the beginning and are trying to swing the popularity away from Susan, but it isn't going to work - because, who cares about THEM anyway?
Long live Susan and her beautiful voice!

I bought Susan Boyles CD and they only other female singer
I ever purchased was Patsy Clyne, It is nice to see a woman
sing with out exposing 1/2 of her body and wiggling around
like she is having sex. When she puts out another CD I will
buy that also
