Top ten choices for Susan Boyle's new album

Now that Susan Boyle is ready to launch her second album can we have a reader's choice of which songs she should choose?

Here is Amy's best bet for the top ten.

1. "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, haunting and beautiful, perfect for Susan's range.

2. "Across the Universe" John Lennon, a beautiful and lyrical song that would show Susan up to her best advantage as it is quite difficult to sing and she would ace it.

3. "Shenandoah" the big ballad that Susan could just blast into infinity. A wonderful air.

Re: Top ten choices for Susan Boyle's new album

Why doesn't Susan Boyle emphasize jazz in her second album? She has the voice for it, and she could retain the classiness that seems so natural to her if she went in that direction. The styles of some of the persons you mention as collaborators? Not so much. In fact, not at all.

Re: Top ten choices for Susan Boyle's new album

It would be feasible for Susan to do one album of all Christmas songs if, indeed, she did do two albums -- the other one, as I suggested, popular songs, show tunes, etc. And I wonder why her new album, still to be produced, is not available for pre-order in other countries besides the UK. Yes, "Hallelujah" would be a wonderful choice. Also "Wings to Fly", "Fame", & "Impossible Dream". I love show tunes and some originals would be nice on the order of her album hit, "Who I Was Born To Be". Incidentally, I read somewhere someone commenting that she would have only one album (rather than the reported two) and.....IT WOULD BE ALL CHRISTMAS SONGS!!!! I would not be OK with that, as I have heard them over & over and would just be unhappy with that kind of album. Would be a big mistake, IMO. A #1 FAN

Could it be possible for Susan's producers to get permission for her to record "Memories" which she sang in the Semi-finals? I am still watching it on youtube and would love to have a recording.
