Susan Boyle has been nominated in the Breakout Music Artist category of the People's Choice Awards taking place in America in January.

The 36th annual People's Choice Awards ceremony will be held on January 6, 2010 in the Nokia theatre in Los Angeles with Queen Latifah as the host for the third year in a row.

Susan Boyle rose to fame as runner-up to dance group Diversity in the ITV1 show Britain’s Got Talent in May this year.

Susan - who is no stranger to the limelight - is in a tough category with competition from Adam Lambert, Demi Lovato, Kris Allen and Lady Gaga.
