They really missed the boat on this one.

As we all knew she would, Susan is headed straight to the top.

I dropped by Walmart early in the morning on the day of release, just to see Susan's shining face.
An area about 4 slots wide with room for maybe 6 or 8 CDs in each slot.

There she was :) Top left corner, right next to all of the other big name artists.
(Don't ask me who, I didn't really pay much attention to them..)

So anyway, I went back to Walmart that evening about 9 pm, had to pick up a loaf of bread and a few other things. (Super Center)
Even though it was waaaay across the other side of the store, I couldn't help myself.
..just wanted to run over there and sneak a peek, just to see how she was doing.
Guess what?
Only 3 of her CDs remained.
All of the other racks were full.
Yep.. I thought to myself. not surprised. not one bit.
I knew she would do well.

I was there again about 10 a.m. the next morning, All Gone.
Sold Out. Her racks were empty. The others still full.
After that I've made an effort to check almost every day.
Maybe I just had bad timing.
Still no CDs.
I got off work at 11 pm this evening and thought I would check again.
Same story.
No Susan. Tons of Lambert, He had stretched completely across the endcap by now.
*Either* they are promoting him, OR no one is buying his CD much and they might as well fill up the dead space. (the latter, I'd bet)

It looks like they dropped the ball at Wally-World. This one anyway.

I wonder how many first week sales were missed because of a lack of product on the shelves?
A lot I would imagine.

anyone else run into this?

It doesn't pay to underestimate Susan Boyle.
..just saying.
