Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I would suggest Caledonia. A very beautiful song.I like Celtic Thunder's version, but Susan would be great. Also like the songs Shanendoah, and green Leaves as done on the John Wayne directed Alamo soundtrack. Also Hope there will be more original songs written for Susan. She deserves her own Hit songs done first by her. She is the greatest singer alive today. I'd also enjoy more show tunes and more blues inspired torch songs like Cry Me A river.
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Susan, The story of your discovery warms my heart so much. Today a friend gave me your new CD and I listened to it for 4 hours in the car as I drove home. Your voice is so incredibly pure and beautiful; I thanked God for leading you down the path to discovery so we could all enjoy the gift He has given you. Of course, the wonder of it all made me cry a few times... I've already thought of songs I would LOVE to hear on a future CD.
Ava Maria
You'll Never Walk Alone
Climb Every Mountain
Impossible Dream
O Holy Night
Don't Know How to Love Him (Jesus Christ Superstar)
He (a beautiful song about God popular in the 50's - words below)
He can turn the tides
And calm the angry sea.
He alone decides
Who writes a symphony.
He lights ev'ry star
That makes our darkness bright.
He keeps watch all through
Each long and lonely night.
He still finds the time
To hear a child's first prayer.
Saint or sinner call
And always find Him there.
Refrain:
Though it makes him sad
To see the way we live,
He'll always say, "I forgive."
He can grant a wish
Or make a dream come true.
He can paint the clouds
And turn the gray to blue.
He alone knows where
To find the rainbow's end.
He alone can see
What lies beyond the bend.
He can touch a tree
And turn the leaves to gold.
He knows every lie
That you and I have told.
Repeat Refrain
Listening to your music gives me peace, Susan. Thank you for sharing your amazing voice with us.
May God bless you.

Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Dear Susan My son and new wife got me the CD for Christmas And oh my God. I can see by listing that you have quiet a voice. When I was 5 years old I loved Andy Williams you are maybe to young to remember him. A few years later it was Barbra Strisand, GUESS what I think there are no words to discribe it.THERE IS ONE QUESTION I HAVE SOMEONE HAD TO SEE THIS AT A VERY EARLEY AGE IM THINKING 4 OR 5 YEARS OLD.OTHER THAN YOUR MOTHER.I THINK ITS FUNNY WHEN YOU SAY DOCTORS TOLD YOUR PARENTS NOT TO EXPECT TO MUCH BECAUSE SHE'S DIFFERENT AND YES YOU ARE BECAUSE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL VOICE AND I JUST LOVE THE CD SO THANKS FOR MY RIDE TO AND HOME FROM WORK (*_*) PS. PLEASE LET YOUR FANS KNOW WHEN YOU ARE HAVING A CONCERT IN MICHIGAN OR ANY WHERE I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN PERSON.
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Most of the Carpenters songs would be a good fit for you. Songs that fit your soaring voice such as O Holy Night, Ave Maria would be good as well. Love your sound. Looked at your tapes from the 1980's and are impressed and surprised you were not 'discovered' earlier. Patsy Cline's Crazy would fit well with your voice.

Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Hi Susan I'm twelve years old and i am one of the miilions of amazing fans.My dad passed away about two months ago and his favorite song was Mansions of the Lord by the USMA Cadet Glee Club at Westpoint. It would meen the world to me if you could sing that song. I LOVE YOU SUSAN!
Love,
Danielle.
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I, too, would like for you to do a Christmas album and it must include "O, Holy Night", one of the most beautiful Christmas carols ever written. I have heard it sung (and butchered) by many artists but your rendition would be llike hearing angels sing.
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I would love to hear Susan sing so many tunes, I get stuck in narrowing it down to get them down on paper, even cyber paper. I would like to hear "My Heart Will Go On", "Born Free" and "Don't Cry for me Argentina" from Evita. There are others but that's for starters.
Whatever you do Susan, will be embraced by a world that adores your spirit and voice.

Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Dear Susan
(and record companies.... hope you are paying attention to all the above letters.....$$$$$$!!!!)
I would especially like for you to have a Holiday/Christmas album of your favorites made and put on the market for next year. I looked everywhere for one this year.
And I would like to offer some advice. Don't aim for perfect on the album, aim for the best your heart can do and then let your gut instinct choose the best take. I want you to pull out all the stops and be the best person you can be, sing when you want to and go home when you want. Those of us who love you want you to continue to soar, but take care of Susan first.
I want all the songs above sung by you and don't forget, I want a Christmas Album to send to everyone on my Christmas list next year!
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Songs I would love to hear you sing Susan, are:
1. "IF YOU GO AWAY" - (from Jacque Briele is Alive and living in Paris).
2. Ave Maria
3. Over the Rainbow
Also, just to comment on your wonderful album, it's GREAT! I listen to it every day. I especially love "WILD HORSES". You mastered this song...it's beautiful song and lyrics. love it, love it.

Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
It's been said before, but I would love to hear Susan sing "Ave Maria";
Also, "Wishing you were here again" from the Phantom of the Opera. I think she would do it beautifully - as well as other songs from the Phantom.
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I heard this song on the radio recently and thought it would be perfect for Susan Boyle. Obviously an updated version.
What a difference a day makes.

Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Hi Susan,
Just a comment about the song, "Will Ye Go Lassie Go." Because your coming to America and will sing for President Obama. Francis McPeake (composer of the song) and his family did a two month tour in America and sang this song to President Lyndon B. Johnson around 1969. There are two renditions that I love, (should say three my Scottish mum.)The one is sung by Lori Decker, "Lark & Spur Group." The other is all instrumental, Celtic Spirit from Lyra. Make that fourth rendition, "Will Ye Go Lassie Go" Susan Boyle. Take Care With Blessings...Susan

Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Dear Susan,
You are such an inspiration of a dream fulfilled. Please listen to two songs from the "Jekyll and Hyde, the resurection" cd...one is "Someone like you" and the other " A New Life"....the lyrics are compelling, but the arrangements by Frank Wildhorn are astounding.....
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I know all of you have your favorite songs, however being a music producer, I have to say that susan would be best singing songs by past singer Mama Cass.
With her tonal quality, I suggest and I am sure most of you will agree with me, the song "Dream a little dream for me" by Mama Cass. If you have not heard it, give it a listen before you jump me for suggesting somthing you haven't listened to. I think you will see what I am talking about.
Rocky.

Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Recently read that Susan had sung 'Ave Maria' for a friend's mother-in-law's funeral. Would LOVE to hear her sing that. It is such an emotional piece and I'll bet she would ace it!
She sang 'I Dreamed a Dream' so very well that I wonder what her song will be for the next round. Listened to her sing 'Cry Me A River' and that was wonderful!
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I'm sure Susan would love to sing Flower of Scotland...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ5fLBEpKo8
And one for the road... when Scotland plays England at rugby...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le91mq1rApY&feature=related
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Cry me a river was a lot better than Killing me Softly (IMO)
:)
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I also like 'Cry Me A River' better than 'Killing Me Softly', but guess it depends on the melody and the lyrics and what appeals to each of us. Hope Susan chooses a song for the 'semis' that 'makes the most' of her fabulous voice!
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Would love her final song to be To Dream The Impossible Dream!!!
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
In my humble opinion it would be “To dream the Victorious Dream” ! Win Susan , we will be there for you .
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
Anything bluesy or jazzy, cuz wow your voice is smoky on the "Cry Me A River" cd.
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I agree.
At first, I thought she's all about musical.
But, after hearing Cry me a river...
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I would love to hear Susan sing:
You'll Never Walk Alone
With One Look (from Sunset Blvd)
Smile
Oh my goodness there are so many
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
What about Only Love (from Mistral's Daughter) ?
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I would like a Christmas CD.
Any "Classic" Christmas songs will be fantastic.
Thank you
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
I would love to hear you sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Dream the Impossible Dream, From a distance,
and I would love to hear you sing one of your favourite hymns, I think you would sing How Great Thou Art. lovely voice. I had a few tears today listening to you in U Tube. Congratulations Susan. When are we going to hear you sing again. Hope its soon.
God Bless
Re: Songs would love to hear you sing
anything she picks will be fine.I'd love to hear Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria" or the JPII tribute "Final Symphony."
I put up the You Tube of Final Symphony as a tribute to my dad(he passed away June23,2008)and JPII.They were both Polish, both had Parkinson's and both died at approx the same age. It's a tribute to JPII but is a very moving song that speaks to any one who has lost a loved one.
You can hear it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdrBWJCv8HE&feature=player_embedded
The Ave Maria has been covered many times;but i think Susan would do an extraordinary performance of it.
It's one of my favorite favorite pieces of music.Said that already didn't I?
Anxious for May 23rd no matter what she sings!
